Michael is an avid mountain biker. Biking is the last thing he talks about before bed and the first thing he mentions in the morning. I think he rides the dusty trails in his dreams.
The first race of the season was in Vernal on September 17.
It was well worth the 3 hour drive each way.
Here is Michael and part of his cheering squad outside of the pit zone before the race.
It was a long wait until his race at 3:45pm (last of the day). I helped in the pit zone which I loved. It was great to check-in race numbers and help with the food for the racers.

We've since had another race and many more practices. I never thought I'd be the bike-rack-toting mom driving some of the team to practice but I wouldn't trade it for anything. These boys are awesome and I love watching them ride.
