Spirit week

 Spirit week has been busy for Ben. I attended the Spirit assembly today and it was so much fun!

There were so many great competitions between the classes.

I loved watching Ben in action as the Senior class president.

Temple with Luke

Luke has been busy working on Family Search. He has lots of names to take to the temple but it has been difficult to find appointments. We were so excited when we found one appointment at 3:00 on March 30! I checked him out of school a little early and we enjoyed time in the temple together.

We also found 1 appointment for today at 4:00. We asked if Luke could bring his siblings and they said yes. Ben, Mary and Luke enjoyed time together in the temple this afternoon. They all commented how much they loved being in the temple.

Tonight, Luke found 5 appointments for tomorrow night! It's so nice that COVID restrictions have lifted and we're finally able to attend the temple more often. Three days in a row for Luke!

This makes me laugh

 Luke's friend has an app that creates different hair styles on people. It looks so real!

Missionary Mondays

By Saturday evening I start to get excited for Monday when my phone says Michael Stepan is calling!

It is such a joy for me to see his face and hear his voice.

With our busy schedules, it's not always easy to get everyone on the phone but this moment of these three guys that I love so much laughing together was one I wanted to screenshot for the memory books.

Ben was dressed up and ready to go to the school to help with student government election interviews, Todd was at work, and Michael was in Quito Ecuador. Unfortunately, Luke was missing due to Jazz band practice. Love these guys so much!

Service Saturday

Todd, Luke and I helped aunt Loretta and then the Booths last Saturday. It was a service Saturday and we loved it! First, we helped Loretta with her basement. Later, we helped the Booths load their trailer with sheetrock and pick up nails (Luke's new favorite job). The Booths are remodeling and preparing to move- all whilst Alex spent time in the hospital and had surgery on his back. I'm glad we were able to help.

The next day we celebrated Loretta's birthday with the Andersons. Yay for birthday celebrations!

ELEVEN

We had a record breaking heatwave. The temperature reached 80 degrees at the end of March! Our neighbors let us have a swim party at their house to celebrate Sara's birthday. What a great time!

Sara loves to play games and she is a huge Jazz fan. She was able to play lots of UNO and watch a Jazz game on her birthday.

Rearranging

I recently decided to switch up the decorations on our shelves a bit. I shopped everywhere to find the right sized baskets and matching plants...

while I was at it, I found this for our kitchen island...

I thought I was done with this...

but then I made one more small change. Do you know what it is?

I rearranged the bookshelves in the piano room too.

Hoedown

Our stake will go on trek this summer. I was recently called to serve on the food committee at trek and Todd will be there of course as a member of the Stake Presidency.

Recently we held a hoedown to learn dances for the trek. Sara came to the activity with us and she was able to dance too. What a fun evening! It's so nice to be able to gather again after COVID restrictions have been lifted.

Campout

 Lukes teachers quorum went on an overnight campout. They snowshoed to a cabin. 

Luke came home exhausted and with a sunburned face after a day of sledding but he had a blast!

Prom

Sara and I loved helping Mary get ready for Prom. She looked stunning.

I love this group of boys so much! I get teary when I think about their Senior year coming to an end. However, I know they will go out in the world and do so much good!
