Luke just completed his second week of golf lessons.

He loves golfing and practices every chance he gets.

Mission wall

We now have 3 mission plaques hanging on the wall by our front door. I love it and I will be excited to add a fourth plaque in two years.

4th of July 2022

Due to the recent surge in COVID cases, we decided to spend the 4th of July by ourselves in an effort to stay healthy for our upcoming cruise. We went on a hike at Brighton ski resort to Lake Mary and Lake Catherine. It was a delightful morning in the crisp mountain air. Luke used the opportunity to take nature pictures for his summer biology project.

We threw snowballs at each other on the 4th of July!

Sara was a champion hiker. This wasn't an easy hike and Benjamin carried her on his back for part of the trail just to give her a little break.

After our hike, we caught the end of the Brighton Independence Day parade. We were impressed with this guy on a unicycle carrying a flag.

After lunch we went swimming at Rob's. Dogs weren't allowed on our hike so Nana was excited to be included in swimming. She loves Rob's pool now. It took some convincing to get Nana in the pool the first few times, but now she jumps right in.

I took at nap after hiking and swimming. Todd and the kids prepared this amazing BBQ.

We watched fireworks on the grass at the temple.

Later that night the boys played the star-spangled banner while more fireworks went off.

It was such a great day!

Sunday together

Sundays are my favorite day of the week.

Last Sunday was extra special because Todd didn't have early morning Stake meetings and we were able to go to church together! I loved it.

We started a new ABC game. We run around the house and find items that start with each letter of the alphabet. B was a fun one.

Dad was coming home from a church meeting when we were on a Sunday walk, so the kids jumped in for a ride home.

Summer fun

I love to see our kids having fun together. Here the boys were laughing about a video on the internet.

I loved cutting watermelon while watching Sara and Michael jump on the trampoline.

In the evenings, Todd and the boys love to throw the baseball and football in the street in front of our house.

One afternoon Mary asked if I'd like to dance in the rain with her.

How could I resist?! Summer rain is amazing!

Temple with Michael

Michael has an amazing spirit about him. It has been wonderful to be with him and attend the temple with him.

This was Michael's first time back to do an endowment session since August 2020. I felt privileged and grateful to be able to attend with him again.

The boys attended the temple together to do baptisms. I love these boys so much!

I am grateful for their desires to do what is right and stay close to the Lord.

Mission signs

Mary designed these signs for the boys homecoming and farewell coming up at the end of July. I think they turned out so nice. This summer has been joyful as we help Michael prepare for college and as we help Ben prepare for his mission. I am loving every minute we have together.
